How long does it take to find someone?
+
Typically 7–14 days from receiving the brief, depending on the role, requirements and availability of suitable candidates.
How many candidates will I see?
+
Typically 3–5 of the strongest candidates after our recruitment and screening process.
Do I have to interview hundreds of people?
+
No. That's exactly what we handle for you.
Can you find someone with Australian experience?
+
Yes. Where Australian experience is important to the role, we can specifically screen candidates for previous Australian business experience.
Can you recruit for a very specific role?
+
Yes. We recruit across administration, finance, real estate, creative, marketing, ecommerce, customer support, operations and other specialist roles.
Do you test candidates?
+
Where relevant, candidates complete role-specific skill testing before being presented.
Can I give the candidate my own test?
+
Yes. Clients can provide their own practical brief or test as part of the final selection process.
Can I see their portfolio?
+
Yes, where relevant to the role. Creative candidates can be presented with portfolios, work samples and relevant previous work.
What if none of the candidates are right?
+
You don't have to hire anyone from the initial shortlist. If the right candidate isn't there, we continue the search.
Can they work Australian hours?
+
Yes. We can recruit specifically for Australian business-hour availability and required timezone overlap.
How many hours can they work?
+
Hours are agreed up front based on your needs and the contractor's availability. As independent contractors, they set their own working arrangements and may work with other clients.
Who manages the contractor?
+
With Direct Hire, you manage the contractor directly. With Managed, you still manage their day-to-day work, while TD Hire handles the agreed payment administration, invoicing, timesheets and ongoing support.
Are they employees of TD Hire?
+
No. TD Hire places independent contractors. They are not TD Hire employees.
What happens if they leave or aren't the right fit?
+
Direct Hire includes a 6-month replacement guarantee. Managed placements include ongoing replacement coverage while the Managed service continues.
How much does it cost?
+
Rates depend on the role, experience, skill level and requirements. Candidates can start from around $8–$10/hour for some roles, with specialist and senior positions priced accordingly.
Do I pay TD Hire every month?
+
For Direct Hire, TD Hire charges a one-off placement fee. For Managed, there is an onboarding fee and ongoing management fee built into the hourly rate.
